It was some time ago when @rnmuscle made some comments on cpap usage and the requirement to get new updated equipment along with, possibly, getting further studies.

I never had that ah-ha moment with my cpap as I was expecting. Come to find out…I was prescribed the wrong mask/headgear. It took changing up my mask to give me the full positive effect.

I’m happy to say I’m getting a good nights sleep with almost no afternoon drowsy episodes.

My point is two fold… pay attention to other folks, you just might pick up something useful. Also, don’t be afraid to try new things.

Off the sleep issue but on a relatively unknown thing try putting icy hot or bengay on the muscle group you’re working before the workout. So if you are doing chest put it on chest and triceps.

Make sure it has Menthol 10% and Methyl Salicylate 30% in there or close to the numbers. Do this for a week. Some aloe Vera added can make it smell better.

Im so happy for you. First, for understanding my rambling posts. My brain has 30 things to say by my typing is so slow. I speak a little better!!! Im going back for my 5 year sleep study because I have had some things come up. Age related!!! I have a hard time getting the apparatus comfortable again now that i get up to pee "a few more times’ per night. I used to “fall asleep” driving.

My new one has a quick disconnect at the nose that is perfect for midnight piss’s.

Thank you very much for your “rants”…it literally is the game changer i was looking for.

4 hours after bed I’m waking up to piss. Doesn’t matter what time I go to bed. Always 4 hours after. Gotten used to it now.

I’m getting a sleep study done this week. The lack of sleep and high blood pressure is killing me, quite literally!

A few things

My insurance had me take 2 studies. One to see if I need a cpap…second one was to see what kind of gear I needed.

I have facial hair so I couldn’t wear a full mask. I’m not a mouth breather for half the time but apparently I do some time during the night. I have a stretchy chin strap that gently holds my mouth shut and the nose rig.

I did NOT register a complaint right off with the first nose thing and figured I needed to get used to it. Well years later after reading @rnmuscle post… I went and changed out to the style I posted above. My suggestion is to make sure you have exactly what is right for you. My insurance lets me exchange/return masks every 30 days free to get the right one. I can get new ones periodically just because of wear.

I wish I could get 4 hours, I have kidney disease as well so I’m waking up literally every hour or two to piss. I recently traveled to Tijuana for stem cell treatment and have been feeling way better since. But it’s still too early for the stem cells to do their thing!
