I kind of equate the ifbb mass monsters with the multiply powerlifting… lots of folks like to see the unusually big numbers that just don’t make sense to the ordinary person.
Those dudes on stage at a completely ripped 280 plus pounds or a 1000 lb bench press.
But I agree… I think the classic division is coming on strong to get back to the “art” of bodybuilding and not just the cartoon-ish humongous body mass. Like powerlifting strayed away from the multiply in general back to the original raw lifting.
I, personally, like it all. It all captures my interest for different reasons.
Yes I agree. You don’t see many 79 yr olds that jacked. I don’t believe Dave was a mass monster though. I wonder if we’ll see and of the current mass monsters live to be 79.
With never being overly big it’s probably asker to keep up with physique. I think the issues arise with the mass guys trying to stay huge or they just say fuck it and lose it all. I have ola. For downsize but I also know I have all
Or nothing mentality so I can also see when I’m done just loading all the muscle and saying fuck it
