Fresh Right Out Of The Water

My step son (Wife’s youngest son) brought us 35 pounds of fresh caught shrimp yesterday. He does a little commercial fishing on the side. He ended up with 700lbs the other night.

The pic shows just a fraction of we got. Wife will clean a bunch and freeze them and just freeze remainder.

Butterflied and battered, scampi, blackened, grilled, sushi, sashimi… I can destroy some shrimps.

Dumb question…is it any more flavorful than frozen? Like noticeably so? I’ve never had freshy-fresh.

I think so. But then again we live on the coast and don’t buy any seafood in the restaurant or from a retail store except maybe a catfish fillet occasionally.

Holy crap, 700 lbs!? Shrimp is definitely one of my favorites, second to smoking various meats. Send some my way! Lol
