Interesting, now what would extracting blood and reintroducing it later on exactly accomplish? I can see how adding red blood cells would help with oxygen in the blood. But is there any other benefits of this procedure?

That. Increased red blood cell count and increased oxygenation to the muscle tissue. No real benefit to lifters but in endurance sports it is the DRUG!
