We actually cancelled it.
We got there and they didn’t have any of the flowers or anything that we wanted to use.
I had set up a whole package with a photographer and videographer… set up the schedule the times of where we’d be doing what pre ceremony, what I was looking for- they acted like I had never spoken to anyone and actually tried to double charge me for their services.
They tried to add an extra $1200 on the wedding fee- we booked a more expensive room for longer so there was supposed to be no fee for the wedding.
The final straw- they were supposed to steam my suit and her dress, they put a big ole rip in the dress and then had the balls to say it wasn’t them…
So we just cancelled. Then took all freebies they had to offer once they started apologizing.

Haha I mean it’s comical now Bc it’s so absurd.
She was so upset about the dress… but once we canceled we both felt better. And we’re able to enjoy our vacation without worrying about what else they were going to fuck up.
So… all in all, rough couple days starting out. But ended up a good trip.

Oh don’t get me wrong. When they said they didn’t rip the dress- and my wife was looking at me crying- I was not chill about it. At all. The manager and I had words in the hallway out of earshot from my wife. And suddenly we had a free all day snorkel and catamaran trip by ourselves, a couple of nice bottles of wine, some Cuban cigars, and off menu dinner on the beach, a couples massage… and THEN I was all zen about it. But only after that.
