I’m now 2 weeks with hearing aids. I just had my 2 week checkup.
I’m amazed at how bad my hearing was. I left the docs 2 weeks ago and heard the blinkers on my truck for the first time. Now I know why old folks drive with a blinker on… they can’t hear the tictok!!! The dogs little toe nails on the floor… how loud my office gets…things blowing around in my yard… the list goes on.
I was sent home the first time with “just put them in every day and charge them every night… get used to them “. At my 2 week checkup they linked my phone to them. In the past I had to use the speaker phone because I couldn’t hear a normal conversation with the phone to my ear. Now everything is piped straight to my aids. I can actually hear a conversation without everyone else having to listen to it. All the audio from youtube/podcasts etc goes straight there. I can adjust volume from my phone. It has a feature where I can activate my phone, set it down and leave the room then listen to the conversation… nosey bastard mode.
I was sitting here listening to something on the net. Wifey was chatting away… it finally dawned on her… she said you’re listening to something on your phone aren’t you…. I said what? Hahaha I haven’t told her I can hear outside sounds also.
I’m pretty satisfied.
