Keep pushing...don't give up

As i get older I realize how happy I am no real men took me to task. Bbing and wrestling came EZ. But, there was a period where someone shoulda and woulda beat my ass!

There’s a local story around Pittsburgh about jack lambert the old legendary steeler linebacker… running his mouth in a bar amongst some steel workers…one of them stomped a mud hole in his azz and walked it dry.

I sir am from the Pittsburgh area and also I dig David Goggins as well. I recommend his book can’t hurt me for my fellow book worms out there. For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare—poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, David transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a U.S. Armed Forces icon and one of the world’s top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events, inspiring Outside Magazine to name him “The Fittest (Real) Man in America.”

Whoa that’s awesome. He’s way more alpha than me so I like to consider myself a perfect blend of alpha/beta as to not feel like such a slack jaw 😂😆😂

They have quite few varieties of the GOOD posters and they are fairly cheap (~$20-30), depending on the size you want. Just google it and you should find some options if interested.

I just love Goggins’s take on pain signals to the brain, viz., that you can ignore them if you choose to do so. That’s just your brain telling you to stop, it hurts. You can choose to ignore the signal. Don’t let your brain talk you into stopping, that eight reps is enough, that your legs are too sore from yesterday’s run to do squats, or that you need more rest or sleep or food or whatever excuse your brain comes up with. Just don’t fucking listen to it. Clearly, there is a limit to this, but for the vast majority of us, we listen far too much to our brains, we are led around by them rather than by our will, and as a result, we stop short of achieving our potential.

Couldn’t agree more with this. I think it gets easier too and translates into everything in life. Every time you hear that little voice saying you’re too tired, stop. And you say”fuck you!” And keep fucking going, those small wins add up.
