Was curious as to what macros I should be using for my cutting phase. I’ve had a decent little break and enjoyed myself for a bit now. I usually do 40%p, 40%f 20%c

The whole body type thing doesn’t matter. All that matters to cut is a caloric deficit.

You can use if it fits your macros… google it and they put in your goals and it will give you a general direction to head in.

Just wanting to lean back out. I’ve been enjoying myself for a bit and took a break on watching what I eat and enjoy myself a bit. But tomorrow I want to start another cut. Need to weigh myself in morning but prob around 200 or more. Pic is today, I’m 5”10 and on 400 test c a week. Monday and Thursday pin

Perfect so find your maintenance calories stick with that eat less carbs and less fats protein 200g minimum and train hard but cardio is s big part of losing weight

Continue to lower your calorie intake over time so you can adjust

There a good site for finding my maintence calories? I can’t remember what I found on here before as a calculator

No your right to ask just like @NeuroRN said stay in a deficit with gear I would start with maintenance bimut continue to lower the calories and then also train to burn weight do cardio hard and alot of core work.
As long as you continue to lower your calories slowly it helps you adjust especially since your running trt your body will be craving nutrition

The simplest way ive found to get going is to multiply your bodyweight by 12. That number is your initial daily calorie target.

I use that number while making sure I get 1g protein/lbs of bodyweight. Im down 8lbs since the start of June (would be more if the 4th of July didn’t happen 😂). I don’t worry if my carb and fat ratios are a little different each day but that’s just me. I’m sure that matters more if youre going for a single digit bf% but for getting weight loss started it hasn’t mattered.

Once the weight lost slows down I’ll drop my calories by about 300 per day.

That seems about right for a cut. I’m going to have to look back at my last cut last year. I think I was on 3500 cals a day but can’t remember specifics

This is what works for me without any real extra effort.

Keep 200-300 below maintenance calories. I keep my protein at a gram per pound of bw and will fluctuate up never down. I try and keep my carbs below 150 a day. They’ll creep up occasionally… @NeuroRN will remind me. Hahaha Below 125 a day is ideal for me. Fats are 75g max…try for way less like 50.

I train my main movement by itself at the beginning of a session and do giant supersets of 2-4 exercises for the remainder of the workout.

Extra effort:

When the stars are aligned and I’m not a lazy azz… 10-15 minutes of fasted cardio first thing at o-dark thirty 3 times a week will take the fat off quick.

To be honest, just farm it out.

I recommend RP Diet Coach app because that is what I use. It is by far the best macro calculator/meal planning app I’ve found for people looking to gain or cut.

In lieu of that, any macro split that gets you 1g of protein per pound of body weight should be fine.
