Men's physique competition

I have done quite a few bb shows , i firmly believe i have a good level of experience…i well know how the whole thing goes, weigh in, pre-judging posing , night show posing, etc. Men’s physique…i haven’t even seen a show. I know is relatively new, surfers shorts, there is no really posing, is only front and back, short and tall ( or more according to high), etc. I have watched all the you tube videos i have found. Am waiting for a show near by so i can go see it. Is there anybody here with a competition experience in this division that would like to share. I will appreciate some guidance

Men’s physique has been around for a while no. The poses are more flamboyant than ho we pose in bodybuilding. You want your loved dramit and graceful. I personally hate it and walk out during men’s physique. Nothing against the competitors have a lot of friends that do it. Just i don’t care about that division. If you’re looking to switch over hire ancosch because the poses are more difficult than you think and you want to be graceful and pretty much a pretty boy yes they look at that also for the next level.

Why physique? Why not 50 plus masters and open masters. U can get grainy look as a lightweight or middle. I guess I’m a purist. I just. Watched a former big show with only 13 bbers. I believe 300 total competitors. The 50 plus winner won the open middle and overall show. I am all for doing your best. I get too crazy competing. Color, music, posing…supps. I don’t think the idiots at the npc let you cross over to physique and still do bbing. I personally do not like physique at all. Classic is good and they will expand it. I bet 5 9 will be 220 or 225 cutoff. 6 foot will be 240. Maybe you are all GQ @Pastor and will not get lost with 50 competitors! I know everyone wants to do their best and compete against themselves…But if I’m gonna suffer I want striations in my back, veiny like a lettuce and show the legs. Satorius, chords for hams…see I’m foaming at the mouth already. Seriously though follow what @MBTJR1980 said. Posing is different. Seems like they all have hair(like you) big chests and wide shoulders with a little waist. I like your front double bi and see that will be a no no. Kick some butt either way! Disclaimer: not dogging physique guys. It would be great to show up like 240 diced with all that weight of top! 23 inch arms, over 60 chest, 32 inch waist. Diamond calves. Is there a weight cutoff or height.

i totally agree with many things you say, legs is my best body part, i also love posing , i have won a few best poser award…but the best about me is symmetry, i have a 27-28 inches waist . it also seems to be more suitable for me according to my career. is also different and that is always a challenge , i wanna give it a shot. I have a friend who used to compete with me 12 years ago and like mu is little and light, never won an overall; about 5 years ago switched to physique, became pro 3 years ago, he is doing big shows now

If that is your dream to compete in physique than get after it my bro. You can do anything you set your mind too. Play to your strengths and come in full and shredded!
