So there was a study released that basically claim your metabolism doesn’t slow do till the age 60. I find this hard to believe even in the slightest. How my body burned calories in my 20s is in now way even close to what is happening in my 50s. Maybe I’m a rock, but this just seems like a lot of BS to me. I posted the BBC article just because I hate US articles. 😂

So which study is this actually quoting? Cause searching one of the researchers only shows he’s pushing a new book lol.

I know. Here’s a chart. With lines. Looks like they know what they are talking about. 🤣.

There’s a better article on MSNBC but I refuse to give them a lot of viewers. 🤣. It’s a bit more detailed in the study if you are interested that is…

Nah not that important to me lol. I noticed long ago most studies are funded to push a narrative anyway or a new product. When doctors get too old they don’t care about science they just care about money. And making money off books….

I’ve just recently read a similar article. I personally do not agree. From puberty until mid twenties I could eat whatever and get results. By the time I was 30, I drastically had to clean up diet to just to keep from becoming a massive lard ass. Now that I’m in my forties, if I slip up on my diet the weight I add takes a week to get back off.

It’s worth pointing out that a single study doesn’t mean much unless the study is replicated and the data and conclusions drawn are considered in the light of the entire body of evidence on the matter.

In other words: science reporting is bullshit.
