I am suppose to be sleeping in this morning to get a good rest to hit it hard on moving today. Fuck that!!! I haven’t worked out all week and I feel like shit I am depressed and feel like a bitch boy!!! I can’t take it anymore. I woke up at 5 and showered and took Godzilla piss and ate some carbs and at gym now. I think I got a half boner just driving to the gym this morning.

You’re moving its better than most training regimens lol
Aint that the truth. Moving is the complete training session!

Years ago there was a 20 something year old locally playing semi pro baseball. He worked for a furniture store in the off season to stay in shape. Fine young man and a stud for sure. Big kid.

One of the biggest companies in the usa was created by a group of guys from a football team and gave the whole team jobs and now there nationwide I always liked that story took them about 20yrs to get to where they are but great start and I bet it was great for the baseball player also

He was a big strong kid. Moving furniture is difficult!

I also remember a strong man from Europe decades ago that specialized in moving heavy stuff. Had a company that would move pianos and such. He said same thing. Helped his overall strength.

It’s probably just a mental thing. A guy spend so much time reaching goals and the has setbacks from injuries then get back on the horse and reaches goals again and taking time off just doesn’t fit in my mentality anymore. I just think the gym has become more than a body thing to me it is a mental thing. And we all know how mental I can be lmao.

I feel much better being in here.

Lol he definitely did lol I didn’t even think about Arnold and franco

This is who you’re talking about right?

Me personally … outside of powerlifting… I’ve always looked at strength and conditioning as a means to an end.

I never trained to be strong for the gym. My training was so that I could be strong for life (outside of the gym).

Good example is you today. You’ve been hitting the gym hard so you have the strength and conditioning to move today… your gym time has carryover to life and whatever it throws at you.

Example: look closely at this picture. That’s the addition I built on hour home. I had on again off again help. But those big roof rafters i cut… I would stand them up… go up top and lug each one up individually… set it and secure it… move on to next one… all by myself. Strength and conditioning brother.

Makes a difference for sure. I remember carrying and flipping trusses with just me and a friend no machine or pulley help Most fellas can’t do that. Especially with just one of ya

@Poppy: My dad and I built our family farmhouse in Texas. He designed it, did the foundation, then in my 8th grade Summer, we spent 4-5 days a week just the two of us framing the house. We finished the framing and put the shingles on the roof and the siding all before Labor Day. It was great fun. But here’s what I remember the most. The basic roof consisted of 4x8 plywood sheets. This is a modified A-frame, so placing and nailing the sheets in place on one side was easy, but on the other side, there was nothing to stand on. So my Dad and I would stand on the flat side and use ropes to pull the 4x8 sheets up on the other side, then my Dad would wrap the rope around me and have me hold it with all my 8th grade mite until he could get down, walk around the house, get up on the ladder, place the plywood sheet and nail it down. Only then could I let go of the rope. I really learned what muscle exhaustion was after doing that about 20 times one day.
