When you start fasting and your body gets used to it then eventually you won’t need to eat at certain times and you have better control. Just the other day I just felt like I needed a 24-36 hour fast.
When you break the cycle it gets hard but if practicing IF then you’ll keep pretty good around all times.
I did a lot of 24 hour fasts when I was dieting a view years ago. Lately I’ve be fasting every 4 days for 24hours to try and loose 5more pounds. I prefer fasting for 24 hours every so often to reducing calories an even amount every day. Doing it every 4 days doesn’t seem to be negatively effecting my gym progress either. I feel like restricting every day would effect it much more…
I do a 48 hour fast and the week following my body burns a lot of fat. It’s hard for the first 30 hours then the hunger goes away unless I smell food then hunger kicks in again. I was told at four days of fasting the body produces stem cells and has huge healing effects. I have never tried it though
I have heard something about stem cell after a certain period of time but I’m not really sure of the details. I’m sure there is a point when fasting length will be counterproductive to muscle growth but I’m not sure what that time is.
Definitely will lose muscle during a four day fast but it will be short lived and can gain it back fast. The health benefits are worth it. I think I may try it. Gonna be hard but it seems every lthing that is good requires effort and discipline.
Haven’t fasted I helped in while maybe n the new year when I’m actually goig to try and lose some fat I’ll give it a go. Right now I’m just letting the body grow for a bit it’s never had an 8 week period of getting fuel everyday
