Apparently after the homeland security raids on his homes today over a sex trafficking investigation, he jumped into his plane and flew to Barbuda a non extradition country.
Yeah he was apparently headed to a different one they thought and instead landed there. Most countries have treaties but the demands are different for each. Usually has to be crime in both countries. Some have can’t be for anything that’s perceived as a constitutional right. Murders, robbery and drug related. Many don’t allow anything for misdemeanor offenses and only certain felony charges. Then they still have the right to fight the extradition in court.
Even in EU they’re supposed to arrest for other countries but you’d be amazed how many countries harbor fugitives from each other. Usually corruption some one gets paid off and they don’t allow it thru.
Diddler has the money to fight extradition there if he in fact is there and not just the plane.
Where the plane is located now this is the document overview in congress records for them.
Digging into prior cases there it’s kinda up in air with corruption. In some cases they claim they’re thinking about and nothing happens. Other cases denied and later sent.
There’s several cases filed at law dot gov listing the corruption and troubles with extradition from there.
They have an interesting case Choksi who was put on hold for years with govt protecting him from india. Then under pressure they stated they would extradite him. Then he sued them in high court there and won and won’t be sent.
