Quad Problem (post knee surgery)

So I am 6 weeks out from patella surgery, and just got my brace adjusted to 30% articulation. Doctor ask me to lift my leg up like from a flat on your back position. Couldn’t fucking do it. He said it’s typical with bigger bulkier guys. It’s like my quad just won’t fire. Is that typical? Its pretty scary when you can’t do a simple movement. It’s so atrophied and soft. It’s like I can’t even flex it.

Just ordered a Compex Sport, it will be here today, ty for the advice.

Also last night, I was able to raise the leg 8” in the dead of night. I layed in bed smiling the biggest smile because of this painful but fulfilling small accomplishment.

My goal is to be jogging in three months, and able to do a heavy Bear Complex again by the end of the year.
