The Ozempic Files

Just got a letter from insurance provider saying that all ozempic scripts have to be pre approved starting January 1.

Bout a month into 1mg doses (down from 2).

I’ve gained about 7 pounds… weighing in at 197ish.

Feel pretty good. No sides other than appetite is not as suppressed.

Lost 7 lbs. after being back on 2 mg a week. Hovering right at ~190.

For me the difference between 1and 2 mgs a week is substantial. I can eat through (to a point) 1 mg… where as 2 mgs, I can’t.

Got another letter from insurance provider stating that jardience (another beetes med) will have to be pre approved also.

Update:

My insurance provider has approved the ongoing use of Jardience and Ozempic for another year.

I’ve been back on 2mgs of ozempic for a a bit now and my appetite has changed a bit. Over this holiday vacation…I don’t wake up starving. Our hours have changed. Staying up to 9:30-10… getting up at 7ish. I’m not eating my snack any later. We’ve got a bag of roasted almonds and I’m having about 1/2 cup in the late evening.

My bw is down to ~186 lbs.

My legs to include glutes are in atrophy due to my spinal problems and no weighted work and the inability to walk for any distance.

I’ve cut my dosage back to 1mg a week on the advice of @Neuro. He has seen the scenarios where as ozempic has backed up folks bowels to the point it’s affecting their nerve endings for legs/back. My crap had been coming out in bricks. He also recommended a stool softener.

Between the reduction in oz and the softener, my bms are back to normal.

I’ve started doing air squats to give my lower some sort of training.

I knew it was bad when the stuff first came out. I would watch my wife hurt and be sick after her shot up until days before the next one. She didn’t even know what they was giving her. She was just going with it until I told her it had to be that shot she was getting at the diet clinic. She hasn’t used it in nearly a year and is still having stomach issues and hurting in her back.

It’s messing up ppls gut for life. It’s really scary stuff. It’s gastric delaying is so severe they have seen food as old as 3 weeks still in people’s stomachs. Then it’s fermenting. Causing issues on top of issues.

I’ve cut my dosage in half and stretched it out to every 8 days vs 7 days.

Wife is going every 9-10 days.

I’m also taking a stool softener/laxative every day or two. That’s keeping things moving just right.
