The pursuit of happiness

We all do things in life looking for THAT ONE that is gonna get me there, we all think up and imagine in our minds the end of the cycle, the end of the diet…how will i look; we have a certain goal to achieve, we have a clearly defined moment and time of our lives to arrive to the desire destination…goals, measurements, numbers , a picture…a trophy…
After this six weeks of preparation, specially in my personal condition as a hard gainer, also older now, no genetics…well…the true is that the result and outcome has not being the most important and far from being the most constructive part; is not the destination …is the JOURNEY. The every day training under new challenging conditions, the every day diet that brought a new idea, the every day enrichment and accumulation of new experiences.
Thank you Lord for the Jorney

@Pastor being grateful makes us better at what we do and you are a living example (at least online). At 52 years old I found that contentment beats happiness hands done. Happiness is fleeting. It is like chasing the wind. Contentment is a loyal companion that never leaves my side. Not to be confused with satisfaction… there are just some things that one should not be satisfied with. 😉

Stay on the path… do not look left or right. Your path will be made straight.

They say happiness comes from within, but what happens if it doesn’t, for me, I make it happen, I sit 30 feet up a tree with the bow, and wait, peacefully, if I kill something Outfuckingstanding,if not I was content to be in the outdoors

I can definitely say that its the dedication not the gear that makes the end result.
I know that you are really dedicated but as with anything good it takes time to achieve or everyone would already have it that doesn’t have the dedication that you have.
Keep killing it and you can always take it as far as you believe that you can because your body will only do what your mind tells it to do. So as long as you stay positive with your eye on the prize you will for sure achieve any goal you set out to achieve

@Bigmurph remember IRON SHARPENS IRON. If we cannot be a positive influence than everything we do is in vain. I ain’t better or haven’t got my shit together better than anyone here. I simply discovered the secret to life… Divorce negatively and help others be better at what they do. Living life this way has made me a better person… I have a lot of bad stuff and wasted time to make up for! I won’t give you the shirt off my back but I will help you find a new one for yourself. 😉

Some of the new friends I have made here at UG have had a positive effect on my life and it is great to reconnect with some old ones from other venues.

I enjoy all the positive talk on here, especially @Pastor and @SemperFi, and I say stuff about hunting fishing my dogs,my future wife, but to be honest I hav a crappy attitude, and I prefer to be alone, despite living with my woman and her kid, and dogs, I am loyal to my family, I help take care of my sisters kid(sister in jail) but I am not content, I pray, take people’s advice, I have fun sometimes, I fucked off and wasted most of my life, especially after I got out military in 2008. So I’m rambling I think this is what @rnmuscle feels like… ha ha. So I have a good life, but I always feel like somethings missing.

Be grateful for what you have instead of living with what you dont. Life is too short and too hectic to not enjoy the ride. We all have short comings and have wasted time at some point. What we all dont have isnt as important as what is right in front of you! Love the ones who love you and be patient, kind, giving, and sincere 😉

Quit bullying me@john😇 if you look real hard there’s a point. I’m actually like most bbers , I think, we are loners at heart but could fit in with any social group and probably tried at some point in life. The gym is the only place my mind, body and soul come together.
