This was my SGT Major in the Marine Corps at my last command. Fast forward a decade or two and we ended up working together at the plant I retired from. I already knew his wife who worked there already but didn’t connect the dots until he came.
He was a good man and did things in Vietnam that made him a hero. So much so that he and Senator John McCain we’re buddies after all that. I believe he was part of the entourage when the enemy released McCain and Clif had to carry him to awaiting transportation.
