Were fighting losing everything and its a losing slow battle plus i dont sleep so it gives me a unique opportunity to think. I have lots of ideas but its always been a dream of mine to land a military contract of some kind. All of you have been everywhere handled everything and i always try to say thanks for that. That being said, i dont have any personal experience with the things that are problimatic. Or shitty designed and such.
If youd be so kind as to think and tell me some shit that used to absolutely piss you off or was so annoying and put you in danger it would give me alot to do other than look where were headed here.
Also im a big time gun nut and have had quite a few times where i rigged something or at least thought of it only to see it in a magazine soon after and thought well shit that coulda been me lol

Hell if nothing else i love hearing the stories of what it was or is like walking your path in that life
Thanks fellas and thanks again for your service

Don’t limit yourself to just military. Although the military industrial complex is unfathomably huge… the fed government is bigger. It’s bigger than most can realize.

There’s trillions of $$ in gov contracts floating around out there. I’m real sure there’s websites that post the available contracts. Of course you have to run the gauntlet to get one. There’s folks out there that you can hire that will either teach/guide you through the process or do the leg work for you.

There’s nothing you can think of that there’s not a contract for…whole or in part.

Yeah just any of it except of course for the bad shit nobody wants to talk about. I always have liked future weapons. Top tens those shows where guys are telling the stories of how shit went down. Yeah its a big question. But hell i find it all interesting as hell

Lol that sounds foreboding af. I remember when yall would start talking bout places yall had been that others on here had been and shit. Those were some cool stories to hear and the way everyone just talks about it like it aint no big deal is crazy to me anyways

I’m not insulting you by no means and not berating you at all.

In country military service is NOT glamorous or anything stylized like most of the movies. It’s very stressful and takes years away from a person. It’s hard to explain and many of us chat about it nonchalantly between ourselves in a way that only we can understand. I promise you most of us have cried over it and still do on occasion. When the Vietnam moving wall comes to our area…I always choke up when visiting. I wasn’t in Vietnam (a bit before my time) my dad was and got eff’d up bad. I visit the Beirut memorial occasionally…I knew a bunch of those dudes whose names are engraved in that wall. It’s not an easy thing to do. Those dead dudes were some of our best and brightest.

I’m tagging in @TBU because he always has a way to explain things in a better way.

I hear you brother i should have been more specific i wouldnt have any place hearing that. Ive just always enjoyed hearing you guys like making fun of some people and picking about old comrads, or hearing about getting the questionable vaccinations and just seeing yall all talk and be like hey man ive been therd me to yada yada. But this is coming from someone who hasnt been off the farm.
No sir i wouldnt need to be hearing about that other terrible stuff. I do have friends that served and i never ever ask anything like that. Theyve mentioned some things and i have never known what to say.
No big deal brother i didnt mean to be complicated or strike any nerves. Just forget it sorry guys

For the first time ever, I have no words to explain what the bond is. People that serve be it now or 30 years ago, we can always connect. Shit. Look at the Marines on here as an example. You can never explain an experience you lived with your brothers. I can only say, it’s with you for life.

Yeah man and normal people dont get that experience either. I thought that shit was cool when you threw up a picture from some sandbox base at sunrise and it may have been @John who was had spent time there to. Thats crazy to me ive never left the farm much. Ive always stopped to hear what a soldier any generation had to say man i just love the stories

@TBU is right

I worked with a guy in the plant waaayyyy back… he did his time at brag in the 82nd and got out. Me and him used to pick at each other Army-Marine…the non vets used to think it was out of anger but it was far from the truth.

Desert shield/storm kicked off and he got called back in. Came back with a bronze star that no one knew about except me.

We ended up being great friends to this day. I retired and still keep up with him. He was kind of a hot head and For some reason I had the ability to bring him back down.

More to the story

Like I said he had a hair trigger. One of the big meetings I was in (that my buddy was not)….for whatever reason the subject turned to kinda ragging on him. I lost my temper and came to his defense and spilled the beans about his bronze star with a V device. That shut everyone up. Of course I went straight to him and apologized. Luckily it worked because the big wheels backed off of him forever.
