Trying to count calories correctly

I did… went with lettuce chicken breast hard boiled eggs and vinegar… had a handful of cucumber sluces on the side. Left out maters and dried cranberries… they were way higher in cals carbs than i thought. I love those on a salad but no biggy.

One thing I like to tell people with regard to fruit. Not many fat island people that eat a lot of fruit. Moderation. If you feel like having a handful of grapes, go for it. That is not going to stop you from getting abs. Just don’t eat a whole pound
 
What @Kad1 said. Fruit isn’t bad in itself. But I also think moderation applies to everything. If your food applies specifically to your goal, then plan accordingly. But if you want a snickers. Eat it, just don’t eat one everyday.
 
I have never weighed anything I eat. I suppose I really need to do so if I want abs, huh? I have always taken the practical approach of eating only grilled chicken, rice, ground turkey, broccoli, salads, eggs, egg whites, only whole grain breads, grilled steak, steak tartare, and so on. But I suppose I could be eating TOO MUCH of the foregoing, right? Therein lies the rub.
