I’m surprised they haven’t broke the code on the battery powered yard stuff yet? I guess it might be worthwhile if you have what we call “patio homes”… literally maybe 100 sqft of lawn. Kinda like a condo.

Yeah the battery needs to be charged and it dies before you finish its just a pain in the ass.
Also its heavy compared to a gas weed eater the battery weights a ton.

Haha if I had just 100 sq ft, I’d probably just get one of those old school push mowers without the engine. a friend of mine back in college was renting a home and that’s what he used and was actually a decent size yard…seemed to do well enough.

My votes on anything with a Honda engine. I have a troybilt with the Honda engine and I been going strong for 6 years now without issue.

You get what you pay for. Anything with a honda motor is going to last forever. The rest of it might rot into the ground but the engine will still run the balls

So a little update on my mower buying situation. I got the Troy-Bill one through Wally World online through their marketplace so it came from a different vendor. Since it wasn’t time to mow I just kept it in the box until last weekend. Opened the damn thing up and it was missing the main extension handle, the handle that you have to squeeze to start it up, and also came with a completely wrong manual as it was for a self propelled one. So fortunately was able to just return it and get a refund. Today I went hunting again and found basically the same one but with a stronger engine and was self propelled for cheaper. So this time I ordered from the hardware store for pickup and just got it today. All looks good and about to put it together tonight as I now do need to mow in the morning. I always try to find deals on anything that is a fairly large purchase by spending an hour or so going from site to site and get the one even if it’s just 5 bucks cheaper. LOL

I think I’m turning into my parents as I now also hoard coupons and reward cards (as long as it’s free) for all my shopping…especially food. I’ll go to a couple grocery stores…usually one has better deals on meat and the other is cheaper on everything else.

Ive got the 90s version lol not that old but damn they have definitely upgraded it mine looks horrible and is only 20" with 149cc

Nice grab brother just replace the blade and it has lasted me yrs.

Well if you’ve got the 90s version it’s a good testament that it is built good and will last! My previous one was just around 130 cc and didn’t bag/mulch that well. Just did the yard today, trimmed, then put down some spring weed and feed fertilizer. Got done way faster with that extra power and the self propelled feature.
