I’ve heard similar stories brother. You made the right decision and now your super grandpa dad!!! I got involved in drugs and alcohol but never joined any kind of gang. Growing up seeing guns held to people heads and shit from folks I knew was way too scary for me to ever wanna sign up for it. I knew as a kid if I was part of their family I would always be under the microscope and would not be able to leave and do my own thing without recourse. Kind of a good thing in a way
