I’m extremely fortunate/blessed, my post retirement gig is a great job outright with telework opportunities. We have had full unquestionable telework since March of last year. There is proprietary corporate/customer data that can’t leave our (small) office building. We have maybe 60 folks under the roof. So occasionally we have to go in for research.

Fast fwd to the last couple of months, lots of folks have been going in as a normal course of business. Last week and this week i had to go in for a few days for research. Come to find out (found out this morning at 5 am) there was 3 people that came in knowingly not feeling well and didn’t say anything and have tested positive for COVID. I’m so gosh darn pissed. Our big boss has said stay home if you’re not 100%…telework and get paid…no questions asked. I guess it’s a waiting game now.

I know some of you had it…any insight would be appreciated.

Hahaha it was going to be gosh darn PO’d but I’m really mad! Hahaha

And yes it’s dumb. Since last March we have had unquestionable telework opportunities.

Yes sir. 100% mask while away from your desk in common areas. Can’t sit at your desk if someone else is in the same room/close proximity. We have a huge conference room so flip a coin and someone will have to sit in there and work. We got wipes and hand sanitizer everywhere in there. I’m not so scared of the “covid” thing as I am of getting sick in general…flu. Some folks are just nasty and don’t have any common courtesy.

See ive been in my house basically for over a year trying to avoid it and I wear a mask everywhere but I still got sick also its bs this shit is airborne and its mutated for sure in s Africa it could have mutated in a bunch of other countries also I don’t know if I believe that this vaccine is really the all cure because I feel like it would be a rush to get everyone vaccinations but no one is rushing anything and that worries me alot

I agree with everything you said. I’ve been involved with the government (feds) in one way or another for 40 years and it’s my experience that they get almost everything wrong and if they get something right it’s either an accident or an anomaly.

People are dumb, I don’t get it . They come in feeling sick and tough it out for no reason. Go home, get paid. We’ve been exposed before. No mask was worn and my kid spent all day with them. It sucked trying to quarantine and work with everyone at home, but fortunately we all got tested and nobody caught it.

I’m of the opinion of thats why they hated trump. He was a doer and not a typical government type.

Yes ma’am. Did you get tested asap or wait for any symptoms? Around here they won’t test until you show symptoms. @Causkatz

That’s exactly it the government doesn’t change just the people trump was truly changing things alot of people in high places don’t want any changes until there gone

Our health dept (in SC) didnt require any symptoms to test. Although I had a sore throat and a cough at the time, rest of the family didn’t.

Ahhh we’re neighbors… I’m in NC…about as far east as you can go. Our county isn’t that gracious.

I can also sympathize with the kid(s) being home. Wifey and I have both been teleworking and our local school system was a little wishy washy on school opening. So like you we were trying to work with a kindergartner home…how do you virtual school a 6 yo?! Hahaha

Ah yeah, my kid is still in preschool so we didn’t have to deal with that thank god. We just had to keep him entertained for a week.

Hahaha i love kids! They’re just so cool and funny. My grand kids and i get into the most stuff. Yes…i have grandkids and a 6 yo. Long story.

Our schools are stupid, they just reopened yesterday for half day there other half school from home, i can’t figure out why they would bother opening again
