Diary of a middle aged, fat, broken mans comeback

Biceps tendon is feeling a little better, been doing mostly dumbbells on pressing movements… dropped NPP a week ago, but still mustered up enough the other night to pull 455… only 10 lbs jump from 2 weeks ago, but I hit a deload last week. Still looking to hit 500 on the 1 year anniversary of my hip replacement…
 
‘Twas the night before Christmas and… fuck that shit, I’m at the gym fixing to pull 215 kilos (474) making good on my dreams of a comeback! 500 is within reach, at 40 (almost 41) and just barely a year out of hip replacement! MERRY CHRISTMAS FUCKERS, I love you all!

I hope we both hit our pulling goals soon 500 and 700 Baby. May do do a single before doing sets of 5 next week to see where I’m at
 
Outfuckingstanding way to get it in buddy, I did a small chest workout after work today
 
@Poppy @JLee, she pulled! It was a little slower off the floor than I would have liked, but once I hit my knees it’s ALWAYS over! I rarely missed a deadlift in my career if I could get it to the knees. There was zero hitching as well, just a matter of getting it off the hamstrings and into the hips. Next week when I go for 5 I’ll make sure my buddy who owns the gym is there, if I can figure out how to blur my face I’ll post the video.
