Happy birthday Dr Martin Luther King

So I wanted to say happy birthday to MLK because I have alot of respect for the way him and his people did things in the past.
These were some tough guys and gals to know that your going to have them dogs and those boys coming for you and the damn fire department shows up to and starts hitting you with the damn fire hose.
These in my eyes are very respected people by my standards. They stood there and took the abuse and got there point across.

Maybe some people nowadays need to rethink their stance on protesting and how great men and women when they come together can make a change with NO VIOLENCE.

God bless MLK and the people who were strong enough to back him up

I also don’t understand why his bday is Friday but we celebrate it Monday??

MLK was a great man with great intentions. Unfortunately the “activists” of today have veered way off his intentions and don’t want equality, but rather supremacy based on the sole fact of their skin color.

It’s really sad that his words are said but not heard and understood by all. He was trying to do a great thing.

Those that preach love get attacked the worst. It’s so awful how much hatred exists in the world. Love is the most important thing in life! Live like MLK did, and Jesus did. Love thy neighbor!

Exactly. Did you see who Biden picked to be his deputy secretary of education? The woman from San Diego who pushes the idea that schools commit “spirit murder” of Black children. Sheesh.

Brother I quit watching news and any sports for a long time now. I will catch a local broadcast every couple of months or watch the ncaa track and field finals if I happen to catch it. @herrubermensch

Jesus made it real simple for us. B.C. There was hundreds of laws. He said I give you two commands love God and Love your neighbor and this will fulfill all those laws. It’s not so easy though when the ones we are suppose to love hate us. It definitely a battle I often lose!! Yet Jesus loved the ones who crucified Him so that’s the standard.

Yes Ten Commandments is the foundation of the Old Testament Jewish laws. But there were a total of 613 laws. Like not eating pork! But when Jesus came he fulfilled the old law and established two new laws that if followed fulfill all the laws.
