I wouldn’t use a wrong name or address, if the carrier doesn’t recognize the name, he may just return it figuring the person doesn’t live there.
In all likelihood, the chances of getting busted are really slim, it’s the people that talk, tell others what there doing, it’s ex’s calling in with tips or friends that are pissed at you, other than that it would be really rare.

I just went and got a PO Box at a nearby post office since I live in an apartment. Any potential red flags there where you wouldn’t accept a package? Anything to be wary of? I opted for the “signature on file” option since they said they would leave packages too large for my box in one of larger parcel holders and put the key to it in your box. Not sure if that matters but I figure the less face to face interaction the better

Just make sure it’s addressed to the PO box, also if a place mandates a physical address make sure you address it as follows:

Your Name
Physical address of post office #box number
City, state zip

Other than that mix-ups in a box section are really rare, I wouldn’t open the package till you are at home though.

PO box is probably one of the best ways, and you should be golden.

Years ago like almost 20!I had a few overseas packages seized by customs the only thing they did was (and I’m not shutting you). Send a letter in the mail to me saying that they have my package and a description of what was in the package and telling me to call them and or go to such and such address to pick up package of course I didn’t go or call they can’t do anything unless to possess or receive it I lost my stuff and my name (alias) and address was flagged I’m sure. But never heard a word else about it I have never had a domestic issue the funny thing is it wasn’t even AAS they got.

Don’t admit to felonies its not the best idea

The amount of paperwork and red tape involved on the federal level isn’t worth the trouble for small amounts. At least that’s what I’ve hypothetically heard.

Also, ups and FedEx are legally required to keep records of all their packages. Addresses, etc.

The Post Office isn’t.
