How much protein when on cycle and when not on cycle?

Okay what’s your protein intake on cycle? …So many articles where 1 always contradicts another…1 lb per body weight…1lb per lean body mass…2 lbs per body weight…what is the answer? I personally do 1.8(1lb 1/2 ) per lean body mass…
 
1 gram is the mostly widely accepted norm… but variables such as age, metabolism, body fat %, daily cardio play a huge role. I know guys who are really lean who take in 5000 calories daily and 2 grams per day, and guys who swear never to go over 100 gram and 2500 cals all year long. So, guess it just depends on you and your lifestyle.
 
I’m with these guys on the advice more is best just watch for foamy pee. Can be a sighn of protein urea. Just cut back and kill the h20. Nasal tested feces and it showed to be up to 40 percent protein content so 👌 just keep extra fuel in the tank if your body can use it it will, and don’t forget your branch chain amino acids
 
I’ve been curious about this as well. As a natural, I think guys WAY over do the protein at 1g per pound. Have read that .7 per pound is sufficient. On gear I’ve wondered if the 1g per lb is more appropriate, or maybe 1g per pound lean body mass? I’m currently 240 and get in right around 200g per day currently and feel good
 

this topic is MUCH more complicated than just bro science and hearsay. Different people breakdown protein at different rates, some can break down as much as 20g an hour, others as little as 5g an hour, then you add in compounds that speed this up (some can slow it down, luckily i doubt many of us use these), then you have other factors at play, like current glucose state, IGF levels, stress levels, sleep amounts… the list goes and goes, best advice pick a plan stick to it and track your personal levels, make adjustments and track, make adjustments and track, and make adjustments and track, and remember we are constantly changing individuals, so what was great 3 years ago, probably is not great now
 
There is conflicting research on the topic. Some shows that you actually need less protein on cycle due to the efficiency of your body to assimilate dietary protein into amino acids. Since MPS is elevated constantly the demand for dietary protein actually goes down and one would benefit more from allocating some of those calories to carbs and fats.
