Was listening to an interview and Robert said unless you are training for deadlifting competition, it’s better to just skip this exercise all together. It’s not worth the risk reward. Doing core and regular back exercises is just as good long term. I have done deadlift for years and at my older age my back is killing me for a week. And I’m not lifting nearly as much on deadlifts. Is anyone on board with this or is this one man’s opinion. Cuz I’m kind of digging it. I still do a ton of pull-ups. Thoughts?

Pretty interesting, it’s always been drilled in my head that deadlifts are a staple excercise, I’ve been doing them 15+ years, luckily no back injuries, knock on wood

True. Humping hills and sand with a 70 pound ruck and 25 pounds of body armor and gear probably didn’t help. Either. 😂. Yates rows and pull-ups are great builders. Like I said. Getting old. I think I’m about the only one in my age group still over at the deadlift pit. 😂
