Figured I would introduce myself, I’m a has been college athlete with 9 years of experience.

I’ve tried everything from straight cardio to plyos to even getting a personal trainer. After nothing really working I’m happy to come across a group with so much knowledge and support! My goal is to be fit and live a healthy life to be able to support my family!

In my profile picture I’m 6’5” at 265 lbs. this was when I was coaching basketball and my body fat was between 20-25% natural.

I’m really pumped to be a member of a community like this. I always search online for tips and tricks and wander through different forums but I’m excited that I’m becoming a member finally!

So I just want to say thank you to everyone!

Welcome brother!!! You said nothing is working. Working towards what? Weight loss? Adding muscle? Both? What are your goals brother?

Weight loss, being fit, being able to dust some fools on the court. Really just being happy with my appearance and being able to maintain that appearance!

Hahaha well they recruited you didn’t they. Nuff said. Hahahaha. JK. I know we can never be big enough or strong enough. Cars can never be fast enough. Can never have too many guns. It’s our mentality. It what drives you!!

I had was alive for 44 years struggling with the same problems. Figured out a little late in life that diet was my biggest enemy. I always thought I fought out work my diet in the gym. Never happened. I started on TRT and got my diet right and went from 260 at around 25% bf to 245 at 16 % bf in eight months. And it’s holding.

Yes brother. Crash dieting and kicking ass in the gym got me only temporary results with very little lean muscle gains. I learned 40% of my body is diet 40% is a regular sleep schedule without booze. And 20 % is gym. And because I neglected my body from this for so long my test was really low so I went to a TRT clinic got my hormones adjusted properly and it was like adding gas to a fire. So don’t discount hormone deficiency either.
I use an app called MyFitnessPal and it helps me set goals but I also learned in about three weeks what I am exactly putting in my body. It helped me a lot.
