Moldy Gear?

I’m very good about use sterile vials and needles.

I have been pre-mixing gear for the week awhile now. The photo below is two savage labs products (test and primo) with omega deca. 2:2:1.

*Savage is very new, omega is 9.25 expiration.
*All gear is clear individually.
*Savage is grapeseed oil base (I believe).
*Omega is MCT oil base (I believe).

I’ve read that grape seed oil can go rancid which is one of the reasons most labs switched over to MCT oil years ago.

Almost looks like the old "bolasterone*" it was 4 drugs mixed, I forgot or never new which ones. JJ IS CORRECT. grapseed oil opened has a life of 3 months. Canola is made from "rancid " rapeseed and lasts longer. My surprise MCT( regular) can last in the fridge, room temp for a long time 2 years. These are opened oxidation. I don't know how long the vials were opened or what oils but does it mix upon shaking or a low warming?

Medium/medium high warm water.

Test is still clear (unmixed)

Primo is still clear unmixed.

Deca is in a brown container, but drew a full syringe, and it appeared clear as well.

I know he's a stand up dude and will replace it...but don't want it to keep happening either we shall see...

The oils are as clear as could be… but when mixed this happened

So even if it is mold,how could you determine what's what,if it happened after mixing?...I'm gonna do some homework....

If it was mold I believe you’d see some sore of spore formation in the tainted vial. IMHO it looks more like separation of the oils, but I know nothing of home brewing. A quick google search shows they have a very close specific gravity so theoretically there shouldn’t be separation? Just speculating. Hopefully one of the brewers will weigh in.

That’s what is was doing too. Then I got sterile rubber top vials online to mix so I didn’t have to draw 3 times while hitting the ml ticks for each. Thought it could be easier.
