285 for 2 is still pretty impressive. I would not attempt that even in a dream and even then would still have a slingshot on.
 
Thanks, brother! I did not use a slingshot tonight, but I did use it for my all-time max of 295x3. I’m just trying to get my body accustomed to much heaver weight on bench. I’ve been farting around with 225 to 255 for way too long. Really want to hit 315 x 3. But that feels like a long hard road away. In the meantime, I do like what the heavy benching is doing for my physique!
 
Certainly can’t argue with those results. I do know where your coming from. I get the urge to see what my old decrepit body will do from time to time. I haven’t attempted anything that high in a bench press for some years now
 
I’ve thought about just shaving head recently but got vetoed I’m just curious of what I would oook like short hair again. I have noticed my shit is thickening Mack up after using mast.

This tells so much you talk about it like its bad you can’t hit 295 but you’re 20lbs lighter doing 10lbs from your previous best.
That math adds up to your doing really well
I know that its really hard for us to see our own gains sometimes but your doing it numbers don’t lie.

I would put a paycheck on the table saying you are in the top 10% of ALL males on this rock strength wise and a way smaller percentage of that with your physique.
 
You guys are very magnanimous. I’m reasonably pleased with progress to date, but looking forward to bringing it home over the next five weeks. Gotta go to a firm cocktail party next week that’s “work casual,” and I am embarrassed to admit that I’m looking forward to the reactions my physique elicits from people who have not seen me in person in nearly 17 months. Vanity is not a virtue, I know. But it is one of the upsides of our lifestyle that people notice and admire your physique.
 
Hanging in there. Have had a few issues to tackle over the past month, the largest being a sister in law with an intractable eating disorder. So I haven’t been able to hit the weights and really push the way I had hoped, hitting the weight room only 3-4 days a week and not getting 200 grams a protein/day, and tomorrow is the start of tapering back to a cruise. I have to extract an engine today–a big V8–but once I’m done with that, I’ll hit the weight room and get a full-body workout and call the blast over. Weighed in at 214.8 last night, so once again, I’ve allowed my weight to drop as a result of being busy and not eating right and it being so damn hot outside. Sometimes life just gets in the way!
 
I would have eaten them with my covid mouth. Ment and eq should be non stop face stuffing
