My wife’s youngest kid (son) is a part time commercial fisherman and hooks us up pretty regularly.

These little fellas were swimming around less than 24 hours ago. As you can see, he even heads them for us. The cooler was heavy… probably close to a 100 pounds. By the time I took the pic, we had a dozen or more quart freezer bags filled plus a couple of gallon bags we give away to friends.

None…maybe dip in some hot sauce or wife has a homemade cocktail sauce.

She’s like “Bubba” …has a zillion seafood recipes

Reread this. She doesn’t steam them. Closest thing to that is boiled.

They’ve all but regulated the commercial fishermen out of work around here. Used to be a guy could support a household fishing…not so much these days.

The high roller recreational fisherman out of Raleigh have a lot to do with it along with the tourist industry not wanting the “unsightly” fishing trawlers docked up to their precious waterfront.

I highly recommend she add to her Bubba Gump cookbook:

*Steamed Shrimp with a 50/50 mix of Pilsner and Water.
*Layer the bottom of the steamer pot with baby potatoes and put in a fresh half an onion with each batch.
*Season to taste with Old Bay.
*Appx 10 minutes cook time per batch.
