44 years old. Can’t seem to get back to a decent shape. Aches and pains won’t go away recovery time seems like forever. Testosterone levels are barely above the low end of avg. Doc won’t put me on testosterone therapy. Done months of research and am nervous. Seems like this is the best place for guidance and advice. Have my mind set on trying steroids for the first time just want to do it right. Thanks

One thing I think people seem to forget is that you are paying a doctor for their services.
Sure, they know more than most, but they aren’t the ‘tell all, end all’.
I’d suggest finding another doctor that will treat your symptoms of low t.

And like @TG asked, How does everything else look?

Thank you. Problem is I can’t use doctors too much. I am self employed and insurance is just a scam anymore for guys like me who make too much money for Gov assistance. Blood test and doc vists add up quick. Plus I think the docs wouldn’t give me quite the results I want.

Welcome to the forum! There’s lots of good info here on TRT. There’s also plenty of guys here self prescribed TRT! If you’re goals are to get in decent shape and generally feel better/younger/stronger testosterone replacement therapy can be a great choice! You should absolutely see a doctor before beginning to check hormone levels, and generally see your healthy enough to be taking test, but your in a great place to research and learn what you need! And don’t be nervous bro I think most of can honestly say we learn something new all the time on here!

Hey rusty I’m self employed ins is bs I feel ya there. And I’m also on prescription trt, from a clinic. Dude screw a regular md. Go see a test clinic. You WILL have low t. They dont care about levels, just how you feel well worth the investment

Is this a family doc? I would find a reputable Low T clinic. They will know more about this than a family practice doc. Really, from what I’ve seen on here, docs that don’t specialize it know nothing about it. And even give guys test at weird doses and no AI. Get with a professional on it. If you’re liver and heart are healthy, there is no reason why you shouldn’t be on TRT

Yeah man pops is on it at 63 years old. Transplant recipient, non weight lifter. They hold his total test at 1475, and free at 41!

No and I wont recognize any1 that’s not a sponsor here. But if you find you 1 know this, you should be able to get treatment for around 150 a month for everything labs, needles, and test

I would start by seeing a doctor and getting blood so you know where you stand. If you know how much testosterone your already making you can get an accurate dosage for TRT. We have to be careful not to ask where to find things! We never ask where to find compounds, it can get us banned. We have hands down the best sponsors available, Dutch Pharma, SRX, Ashop, Steroidify are just a few that come to mind, if you were to check out any of the sponsors on the forum you would have great experiences with all of them!

I agree. A big thing with doctors is the question of if they’re caught up with the latest medical research. Many aren’t since medical knowledge is always advancing and many things they know become outdated and flat out wrong after a few years out of medical school.

There’s still a lot of ignorance in TRT among doctors unfortunately.
