Who had ever had a couple long ass working days and when you get to the gym it’s leg day? Tired didn’t want to do my 10 sets of squats. My legs were stiff from travel and being on my knees wiring up cabinets for 2 days. Felt like I pussed out. Although I did my 10 sets heavy, I still felt like it was a pussy workout. So I loaded up the bar in the squat rack. Did 6 sets deep and slow to really fry the quads.

Today was that day for me, I’ve had a migraine and a fever for the past 2 days so work was a drag. I’ll be honest, I walked in the gym and didn’t want to do shit… then I ran into one of my mentors, an old-school iffb pro and he offered put me through a good leg work out so I couldn’t pass that up. We did 12 sets of squats, 2 with 165(we were using a buffalo bar and ivankos plates) then 10 sets of 275 doing at least 8 reps, slow tempo… we did leg press immediately after, then lunges, lying leg curls, leg extensions, and abductions. Toughest part was mentally being able to push myself knowing how I felt but once I got under the bar something just clicked for me and I stopped whining to myself and got it done. I walked out of the gym with a new level of confidence and rekindled passion for this sport.

Now, I can put the last post together with this one. You have that (and i hope you are) big offseason look with the pumped/insulin sheet of water under the skin, which I never could get. I always had the tendency to get the Leepriest fat look. love handles start in, etc. Your legs are 2 inches hanging over the knee!
 
AGREED. easily 250-252 w/same, imo. Do you get lean fast at first, like first 4 weeks into a diet? not much fat between the muscle at all.
