I married my oldest daughter off late last year to a fine young man that I love. Known him for a long time and couldn’t be happier.

About 6 weeks ago my youngest daughters suitor came by to ask for her hand in marriage. I love this kid too. Of course I said yes. Last night he finally proposed.

That’s two down and one to go….baby girl. Of course she doesn’t have to go anywhere. By the time she is 17 I’ll be 70 sooooo I’m hoping for a career in nursing for her.

I will say this…both of my older daughters have gotten men like me. A lesson for you young men. Act right, treat your daughters with respect and theres a good chance they’ll drag a fine young man home… of course that’ll be after they drag home a handful of no account scraggly sob’s that will require rejection with extreme prejudice.

Thank you sir. I AM very proud of my girls and brag on them often.

Thankfully they don’t act like their crazy mother.

Both of them are lethal with a weapon. The oldest has harvested turkey and deer with a compound several times a year.

A career in nursing. Hahaha. Well your adopted son @NeuroRN should be able to lead her in the proper direction.

Seriously though I am super happy for you my brother!!! Hope I can have the same results with my girls.

Haha so happy for you sir!

As far as careers go… who knows that this shit show will look like by the time she’s ready to enter the workforce.

raised great kids with morals and values
I just reread this. You know…the thing that I did NOT do was waiver…I didn’t cave to the current trend no matter what it was…unless it was positive AND aligned with my families values.

Congrats poppy !! I never had a father figure in my life so stuff like this is what I look up to and can only hope that I do the same by my girls as you have … your an outstanding father figure :pray:t2::pray:t2::pray:t2:

YOU ARE NOT KIDDING…i think its great if you get in early and they are starting up the residencies again and even transitioning old RNs to new spots…One young motivated RN can do well, but if your married etc. lets say you don’t get rich. Nurses with an MBA or handle the funds would be nice. Maybe they would understand staffing ratios, an ergonomic chair maybe, the right stock of supplies… but I digress, Congrats!!! If she’s pretty and fit (Im sure she will be with a 70 yo training dad…Then she can go to Scottsdale OR Miami, the rich areas and do Botox, Laser, Microneedling , the shit is getting Big plus there are bonuses , nice working conditions. I just did a shift at a complete mess of a LTACH, I never learn.
