  1. Always choose quality over quantity - food, rest, gear, reps, etc.
  2. When in doubt throw it out - gear, supplements, technique, etc.
  3. More rest days are better than no rest days.
  4. Less is more when choosing the right method, process, or product.
  5. Compound lifts are the main course. Isolation lifts are complimentary only.
  6. I will only fail if I allow myself to fail.
  7. No excuses wins the day.
  8. There is always something new to learn.
  9. By helping others I help myself.
  10. Spend less time talking and more time doing.

  1. It’s better to burn out than to fade away.

All tremendous lessons. I agree with every single one of them. Especially more rest days are better than no rest days. I try explaining this to my GF, but she’s too stubborn. If possible, she’d be in the gym every day. I’m beginning to think she’s got a gym crush, lol!
 
That is one I struggle with too. There was times I would go 50+ days without rest. Changed that up awhile ago and usually do one rest day a week and even then I still hate it haha. This current plan is 2 rest days a week for next 8 weeks and it already feels so weird after one week.
 
Yeah, my work week is crazy, so I’ll go to the gym and might not be able to make it in for another two day. When I get back in there though I feel great, since I’m fully rested, not dealing with any aches /pains
