My job would keep me from the gym and pinning for up to 2 weeks at a time… And when I got home I would hit the iron with a vengeance… My work was pretty intense, so I never really lost much, and in a couple weeks I was passed where I left off…
My takeaway:
It doesn’t hurt to take a short time out… The body and mind needs a ‘cycle’ from the stress of high intensity, extremely focused lifting… It’s like a mini vacation that recharges your physical and mental resources that get you motivated to ‘go hit the iron and break shit’…
So for me, I realized that missing a few days workout and pump was just a mindfuck, especially when the timeouts were unexpected like yours…
So hit the gym hard, and imagine you’re ripping off chunks of iron and shoving them into your muscles, stop whining, and get in there and break shit, hooa!
