Telmisartan and Current Protocol

So added Telmisartan at 20mg ED to my protocol yesterday, principally for general health and longevity, but also to put a little more of a damper on my systolic BP, which pretty regularly hits 140 even though my diastolic is usually in the 60s. Will add back in Glutathione once I figure out exactly how I am responding to the Telmisartan.

For reference: Currently running 100mg Test Prop ED (Flash), 50mg NPP ED (Flash), and up until recently was running 50mg Mast Prop (Flash) ED, but stopped it because it seemed to be drying out my joints and low and behold my hip and back feel much better now that I’ve stopped it. Always run Cialis at 10mg ED and recently started B12 shots E3D t my doc’s direction, but am not sure that they are really doing anything and so may stop them.

Good morning my friend. Please keep us updated on this.

I’ve been on telmisartan at 20mg a day for a while now. 6 months maybe more. My bp has dropped from “ok to a little high” to “perfect to a little less perfect”.

Fyi I’m also taking 10mg cialis a day skip a day here and there.

Per my doc… the telmisartan may elevate some of your renal markers slightly but the nephrology folks have determined that the overall renal health end game is positive and the slight elevation is worth it.

Another fyi… my daughter runs a nephrology research facility. She wholeheartedly endorsed my telmisartan.

This is all very interesting to me. Advanced age strength and conditioning with overarching health…well being and longevity.

You may have to increase the dose if BP is your primary concern. It Doesn’t do much for BP until 40-80mg for MOST people. Even then it will usually only lower a few points.

B12 is a good one to keep in the mix. A lot of processes in the body require b12 and much like glutathione we burn through it pretty my quick. But I also wouldn’t take in regularly if my levels weren’t low. I take it when I’m feeling my self starting to get sick. Or run down.

E3D of b12? What dose?

Maybe back off on the mast to keep estro and prolactin in check rather than coming all the way off? That way you don’t have to poison yourself with an AI?

Here is my experience with this Telmisartan. BP was taken twice a day in the am and pm over the past 8+ weeks for objectively quantified results. Individual results will vary.

Telmisartan Titrations :

Week 1-2
20mg (BP no change) 136/70 avg

Week 3-4
40mg (BP -5/0) 131/70 avg

Week 5-6
60mg (BP no change) 130/70 avg

Week 7-8
80mg (BP - 8/3) 122/67 avg

All good advice. B12 is prescribed at 100mg E3D, but at that dose, it jacks me up a bit in an uncomfortable way, so I’ve just started to reduce it to 50mg E3D.

Will check BP and tritrate up if need be for BP as @Aude_Aliquid_Dignu notes was necessary for him.

I will try the Masteron Prop at 25mg ED as suggested by and see how it goes. I love the stuff, but it did cause me a few achy days last week!

Idk if this adds any value to the convo….but you can clearly Statistically Significant Mean, Median, and Mode Data titrating Telmisartan over this time period.
