Baby girl has always liked going to the gym with me. She would piddle around doing step ups air squats or lat pull downs.

Last September she turned 9 and we made the decision for her to do 10 official real pushups by 10 years old.

We started on the safety pin of power rack…set at my bench press safety height. Just happened that way. She could do a few sets of 3 with good form.

Progressing over the last 5 months of one session every 6 days or so maybe 7. Lowering the safety pin.

Today she ripped out 3 sets 3 at an extremely low height and a set of 10 At middle height and a set of 15 (hybrid reg and narrow grip) at the beginning height.

She does lat pull downs with a 20lb chain… net 10-15 lbs after the actual bar weight helping. 2 x 10.

She’ll mess around with my micro weights doing overhead press shoulders 3/4 pounds.

Other training days she hits heavy bag (little pink gloves) for 20-30 whacks superset with 10-15 air squats.

Our motivational phrase is 10 at 10.

Also she likes to run. She does little 20-30 yard sprints around the backyard. Lots of running and jumping. Regular ole kid stuff.

She really really wants to do regular pushups. I’m trying to keep it fun.

That’s awesome @Poppy hopefully she stays with it. Got you a Crossfit trainer in the progress. So far all of mine are interested in it from my 16 year old son to my 4 year old daughter.
