I’ll never complain about gas prices knowing they should be much higher if inflations was accounted in.

With all respect…You got it backwards…inflation is how the government measures the cost of goods and services.

According to the current administration in the White House inflation is under control and low.

That’s because gas (energy) and groceries aren’t included in the inflation index.

This is done so whom ever is currently in the beltway can brag on low inflation when the reality is prices at the pump and grocery store are soring.

When the dems give away money and/or print more money it drives prices up by devaluation of the dollar.

The things that the majority of us middle class minions needs is groceries and gasoline…

It gets extremely complicated like a shell game with a hundred shells.

The question that needs to be asked is… is the country, overall, better off now or before…taking into consideration all the variables.

I can go on and on but now I’m raging about the sad state of affairs in this country.

To address your statement directly… inflation would be higher if gas prices were counted in… not the other way around.

If gas went up the same as other good from the 70’s it would be $7

Give the poor guy a break. He released last week 50 million barrels of oil from our reserves to give Americans a break for the holidays. You might not of caught the savings because we use 19 million barrels of oil a day! So that sale lasted about 2.5 days. Let’s go Brandon

That’s a simplified way of looking at it….

Up until the mid 60’s into the 70’s prices on everything were based (generally) on a single income household. The second women’s rights movement had the narrative of “we deserve a career too and aren’t going to stay home for housework and raising children anymore”.

The housewives went to work in one form or fashion…upping the average household income… this country being a capitalist society…capitalized (pun) on that opportunity and prices for goods and services started to go up accordingly…daycare facilities sprung up everywhere.

Once again that’s just one branch of the total reasoning behind our complicated economy.

Make no mistake… politicians from both sides of the isle are all buddy buddy off camera. Trump was an outsider non-politician and shook up the apple cart. That’s why dc hated him.

The globalization of the economy started a long time ago. Another branch…

Importing stuff from china and other impoverished countries are a money maker.

My uncle was a big wheel in the Ford moco machine and was taking trips to Mexico in 60’s laying the groundwork for future plants down there.

Gasoline/big oil is a private industry that greases the wheels of politics. If they raised prices too high…people would start pinching (gasoline) pennies. They raise and lower prices just enough to keep joe 6 pack on the edge of the cliff without actually jumping.

Yep we are all
Just pawns in their game. They create rights in people juat to pass by things they wnT and hope the public downs t notice

I was about to mention some of this as I believe we as cictizens are always told to be patriotic but corporations that this country built had no loyalty to continue its growth. Now maybe it’s all the plan to have the world be all under the control of one sovereignty but that’s above my juice out Brain. It’s funny I always hoped the drug use would make me much dumber so I could just be happy and not think of anything other than I have food on table roof we good.

Yep. There’s some very powerful forces at work that we’ll never see. Folks shaping the world for their own personal gain.

Lots of people think the clintons were at the head of the table but in reality they’re just hillbillies used as bigger chess pieces by very powerful people.

World is controlled by families like the Rothchilds around the world. But I think that will be changing within the next 20 years since crypto has begun changing the world.

I hope you’re right.

“Governments” are just a tool for the ultra wealthy.

I’m hoping crypto currency at the very least will level the playing field a tad.

So now the Richest chinese person alive is not made from family or part of a larger group. Hes anti chinese worth more then the richest there. Guy doesn’t even own a car right now lol. Crypto will make many more new millionaires and billionaires over the next 20 years that control will change by who donates and owns politicians.
