As much as I enjoy an ice cold beer or shots or a good smooth bourbon… that was probably my best decision… if I could of stopped at a reasonable amount.
Hard to be beat an ice cold beer on a hot day. Something about it just feels right. I rarely do it nowadays, but I still think damn an ice cold Miller lite would be just right.
I used to be a four or five martini guy, almost every night. Over the past year, I’ve gotten down to one or two days a week having no more than two. My body handles that well. Always a pull to have that third one though!
My problem with that is if and that is a BIG IF, I can manage to say enough after two
Of any hard drink I am miserable and have to white knuckle it through the buzz to not have more. I am happy drunk or sober but nothing in between I can manage one beer for taste with something like chicken wings cause I don’t get the buzz started off one beer. That’s about my limit. Anything beyond that is Russian Rulette for this fella.
That’s what I’m working on! Been good lately cept the recent time when I started the AA/NA thread. Today will be a test as the wedding I am going to is full of Pollocks and Italians so there will be a lot of drinking going on. But everyone knows my issues so there shouldn’t be any pressure to drink and I am in a good mood so am gonna go in prepared for battle anyways cause the biggest battle is usually in my own head.

I’ve done nights my whole career and I did IHS contracts in las cruces and Clovis. There was a whole group that frequented places after work , some even when they had to be back at 7pm. But, it was all healthcare and some other overnight like Walmart and the bars were crowded enough that it was fun. I was never a drinker but that year was fun. There were some Tuesday mornings that were like Saturday night. I only missed training like 10 times in a year and as a young 279lb “to regular people lean” those days were worth not training:see_no_evil:. Also, I trained at some great gyms later on when I was in Albuquerque places. but I was getting ready to Diet for a show. I trained with a guy JoJo notiforo and his brother, both could probably beat me, I thought if we all were in shape. jOJO turned pro at the USA , just like he predicted and his bro probably still compete every national show and his physique was tired, but this other unknown Mr. New Mexico, no smapchat or teiiyer or Facebook. He still posts some great show videos on you tube, but he toe a quad and unfortunately never regained the same look. But, it was a fun time. Before the internet really got going, bbing was more fun in a sense that there was no way to see updates and I would get psyched out now. It’s like hers so and so update 2 weeks out and I would be fu Jnck that, I’m gonna travel for top ten…maybe. Before that, it was keeping covered in the pump up and then looking around and being able to tell HOW you match up 3 minutes before. Then we would have a guess a good friend that was straight with you. Start rubbing thiomucase on my hams and lower back. It was fun, I miss that shit sometimes.
