I guess I never thought about the fact you’d have no idea how you stack up until show time until right now. That sounds like a fun motivation, truly gotta be up before the competition Bc you got no idea what they are showing up like.

I think we’re gonna try days one more time, but as you know it’s such a different beast.
 
I’m all about volume or was for year’s. But, know it become pretty hard working out after work but I always did one body part in 30 minutes and some abs or calves. Then 20 minutes of cardio. I really like the set up of you exercises especially on work days. Very to the point. 12 back and 8 biceps(?l) I always would want to do just one more drop set:pensive:😔
 
Haha thankfully my wife is usually around to keep me on schedule. Or else I’d be late for work everyday. Juuuuust oneeee more set!
 
You or your wife sound more type A! Days are for type A especially like university medical center micu and a lot of chiefs on days. I can’t do it, maybe now but Never in the last 15+ years. We had to rounds and a lot of passing off at bedside. I think that is good practice and better for patient. But, not on a M/s floor or observation. IMO. More acute care , yes, 8 drips plus patient in full code…i really do care but I still gotta eat and go train!!! We used to have to give education to families, then a lot more ads and discharges. Talking more about general floors. pCU or ICU is better because you have more autonomy at night I think. Some place’s nights are crazy because patients are scared, confused, everyone seems more sick at night. I’ve tried to just be a body at big teaching hospitals were the residents are so conservative and 20 bed regional medical centers were there were times I was the only one who’s seen a Hickman.
 
I’m starting to feel it again. I just did 3 nights and got of at 7. I like to keep a schedule, and like right now I feel like training. Then 3 more days off. I do chest, delts, calves… Back, rears, traps and, then legs and arms all super sets. I can’t train legs hard at all still on paper…but I get them pumped and arms I kill them with 4 super sets. Bicep then tricep, but I’ve done push pull legs forever. I like 2 times a week for most body parts. Using the old one heavier work out and one volume. I gotta start my own long soon.
 
Oh she’s for sure type A. But it always helps having one of those on nights. I love my autonomy on nights.

We’re at a major university teaching hospital now and I wanna choke the new batch of interns that just started. Trying to be patient but when you’re flipping through your ACLS book and I already have bicarb and Epi in my hand just go sit down and watch us work for a minute please.
 
I need to do this. One heavy day. One volume. I’m always drawn to volume but I feel like my strength has plateaued pretty hard from mostly volume training.
 
Heavy, and volume but not necessarily light…you know what a I mean. Back is width and one day thickness. One day more pulldown, the other more rowing. It’s kinda bro split…but that lingo wasn’t around. Like I love those newer handle that are out for back. I could do 3 sets of each one and one rowing movement, then next back do ( not now) but deads and then 2 rowing movements and end with pull overs supersetted with pull downs. I like cable standing pullovers to the waist deep stretch. Not to thigh. To waist. Then pull over, even to the rear pretty wide, kinda like your hitting a back double bicep! Sorry, I gotta start my own log here, I’m hijacking yours. But, I like your setup it’s not that much volume…good exercises and then stop. It’s hard when your in a groove to not bust out a set of 21s for biceps. I’m gonna go kill it now, should sleep but I’m psyched now!!!
