Smoked 385 for 8 reps, went for 9 and lost my under-hook… that has literally NEVER happened, losing a DL due to grip… first time for everything. This was also after pause DL’s working sets of 360 x 2x2… bench I only did one set of each weight, but still feel all in all it was a good training session!
 
Squats tomorrow… 5x3 @ 85%, and pause squats 4x4 @ 60%… easy week on deadlifts this week, 63%. I’m still pissed at myself for losing my grip on my AMRAP @ 85%!

Wife got her 2nd COVID shot today, and just like shot number 1, sick as a dog, so her bench day Thursday could be interesting! Luckily it’s speed work with orange bands
 
Did pause squats today and they sucked more than the pin squats I think keeping weight on shoulders and Ben f there dead stop gave me time to think what am I doing right now
 
Feels great! Knees feel decent too. Went a little wide on pause squats first set, and my hip let me know it didn’t like that… tonight we deload deadlifts, 5x4 @ 63%, and hammer bench. Supposed to be upwards of 105 today though, so we’ll see how much nutrition I can shovel down my throat before I train and how much water I can drink.

Close grips were a little distracted last night. There’s a girl that comes to the gym, usually with her husband but here lately not so much, and she try’s to powerlift, in yoga pants that are 2 sizes too small for my 13 year old and a tank top with no bra. And she’s a big fan of showing off her amazing camel toe, and stretching her hamstrings facing away from you so you get a great view of her bullet wound through her stretched too fucking tight yoga pants…. God bless her
