No, I’m not keen on that shit… I lived on Tylenol and Advil for almost 5 years while dealing with my hip, so who knows what I’ve done to my guts from that, and Hydros and Oxys I don’t like how they make me feel, I didn’t even take the ones they gave me for my hip replacement, my wife did… I took a couple Asprin this morning, we’ll see how that does, especially since I’m at work and have to weld today 😒

Was able to squat on Saturday, 5x4 @ 200 lbs, although I felt like a train wreck from COVID shot # 2. Accessory work was slim as my left hand grip is fairly affected by the inability to use my middle finger, I did do 4x6 @ 90 lbs on T Bar row but had to use my wife’s wuss hooks on the last set, and 5x15 on side lateral raises, as well as 3x10 on the leverage squat with 180 lbs on the machine.

Sunday I was able to somewhat bench, was supposed to work up to a 1RM @ 8.5-9 RPE, I worked up to 225 and called it, as mg left hand grip was getting very sketchy the heavier the weight got, I probably could’ve gone to 275 or 285 with a healthy hand. Had 5x3 - 20 KG after that, so I made it easy and did 185, those flew. I didn’t do any deadlifts yesterday, I’m not sure I could’ve gripped the bar, my wife suggested I use her wuss hooks again and I laughed.

Will probably use this week as a de-load, as I’m injured, next week will be looking for a gym in San Diego to train in 2 of the days we’re there. Then it’s back to go time once the finger is healed…

@Bigmurph, you’re the soldier brother! You’re training through a lot more than just an ouchie on your finger. I did get a good laugh yesterday, our 2 1/2 year old grandson is infatuated with dinosaurs, he saw my finger when our oldest daughter dropped him off and said “is that where a t-Rex bit you papa?”

We have a big encyclopedia of dinosaurs, he makes me read it to him every time he’s over. Then we’ll be watching Jurassic Park and he’ll start firing off the dinosaurs names

I’m sure you’ll get a laugh knowing, I get all light headed now whenever I see pics of your stitches.
