Tutanota is no longer safe for encryption

With how blatant most people are on social media I don’t even know why the government bothers trying to shut down the few private lines of communication. Are they really that worried about >1% of correspondence. And what about proprietary information as it pertains to business. I guess that won’t really matter when finally manage to “socialize “ this country and absorb all private business into government holdings. My hope is that there are still enough freedom loving Americans that this won’t go much further. All those blind fools aka “woke” aren’t going to realize that they don’t want big brother until it’s really way too late. Atleast I’m sober to watch the world burn.

Yeah these folks are praising Cuban resistance while trying to install communist systems stateside. The left hates when an actual Cuban who fled Castro talks about their feelings towards socialism and/or communism. There were a staggering percentage of the the Cuban American community that voted for Trump for that reason. They’ve seen what all these social programs look like when executed.

To follow up on PGP encrypted emails, it’s an encryption method that can be used on any email service, and is encrypted end to end. But it takes a bit of time and computer knowledge to properly setup. It has existed since the 90’s atleast.

To put it in really simple terms, protonmail is like VPN services, they make things hastle free with the setup already prepackaged, just login to the site or use the client, everything is done for you. Where PGP email encryption is like setting up your own VPN service manually.

It’s a very vague way of me explaining it, but I think it will describe the point.

Exactly right, Bitcoin uses the same system for addresses. If you wanted to, you could have the same public key for your emails and your bitcoin address

The problem with pgp is it requires both sides to have it. Like protonmail now offers pgp for outside of protonmail for people using that at home. Even in the 90s it wasnt easy to get everyone on pgp. But protonmail to protonmail is easy enough and can set emails to delete on both sides.

Personally Im a bigger fan of messengers instead of email as its easier to communicate and ideally you can use services that will destroy the messages on a fast basis so nothing stays on others device too long.

People need to move away from bitcoin soon and move to monero because govt is going after bitcoin wallets and tracking them. NSA has a database of wallets the have broken the key phrases too and can access. You’re talking of a whole system of super computers which only function is breaking and documenting wallets if needed for them to identify and seize. Illegal as hell but no one will ever do anything. At least while they’re focused on bitcoin can move monero more anonymously.

Ok so is there any other encrypted email we can trust I found a few on Google play just curious on what’s up if ProtonMail gets hacked to have a back up???
