alright brothers let’s see who’s got it.
when i was a senior in highschool many years ago i went to a nfl sponsored training camp and our strength was graded on reps at 225lbs on bench press. back then i think i got like 5 reps lol.
post your height and weight and max reps at 225 on benchpress

im 5’11 219lbs 24 reps

6’0, just cut down to 215lbs. As of an hour ago, 38 reps after a full work out, but can barely bench over 365 😂. Now that I’ve been off all gear, I’m surprised I can even get 10 reps to be honest.
 
Most I ever hit in college was 400. Was hitting 315 for like 20. Couldn’t remember how many times 225. I’m 5’9 at the time I was 210 in weight. I have a max party with some buddies saturday I’ll let you know what I’m at now but doubt it’s anything near that. I workout for shape now not strength that was when I was powerlifting a lot.
 
Haven’t flat benched in a few years. Do all hammersmith and dumbbells now. I have done 100lb dumbbells for Reps before 21 to be exact. I go to 150 for 6 reps. I’m 6’3” 260lbs and 56yo. Inclline 100s only for 14. But that’s doing flat first. Hammersmith I do overload work. Put 4 45 on each side and do 4 sets to failure.
 
damn i hope i still got it like that when i get to be that age. my last set ofeach exercise i always go til failure. i love the pumps i get and i feel its the best practice in building muscle

Keep at it. Only thing I’ve changed over the years is no deadlifts. And squats stay max 315. My lower back is shot. And dumbbells just because of shoulder issues. Heavy was the plan of the day everyday. Not the smartest thing ever. But now I stay heavy one week. Volume the next week. And keep at it. I’ve stopped chasing PRs a while ago. Why? My age is telling me i can’t do it. A bit of a crush. But there are work arounds. 😁
 
awesome bro. im not sure wat my max is on anything right now. theres only a couple old ladies walking when i hit the gym early mornings so i don’t ever have a spotter
