Venmo or bitcoin? Which is cheaper

I voted mycellium but I use both.
Think about it like this you have 2 bank accounts 1 for this and 1 for that
You have 2 btc wallets maybe more I have a couple but its because 1 is for this and 1 is for that.
Just like the old timers didn’t trust banks because of the great depression and the callapse don’t trust all your btc or alt coins with 1 wallet
I will write more today about spending wallets, saving wallets, business wallets, trading wallets, and so on.

I’m glad this conversation came up! this is new to me too.

I installed coinbase on my phone months ago, but I stopped entering in information when they wanted to use my bank account.

I considered Western Union, but that was a big hassel. I went to a Kmart 3 times in two days. Their terminal was Down the 1st day, my new account was put on a 4 hour lockout the 2nd day (1st trip) due to a problem the cashier said was happening to almost everyone. And when I went back later that day, I realized why so many Kmarts are closing because they were so short staffed and it would have been another 20 minute wait so I walked out after already waiting 10 minutes. I probably wasted a good hour and a half.

I got the samurai wallet but you have to transfer your bitcoin to it from another wallet… since I used to use coinbase to buy bitcoin, how am I supposed to get bitcoin now without using coinbase to buy it?

@josh, let me know how that mycelium wallet works for you, I’m oblivious to the crypto currency game and need to get up to speed on it as well.
Thanks

@Sivmig so after playing around with different wallets today I like both the mycelium wallet and the samurai wallet, but I don’t like trying to purchase the bitcoin options they have. And it seems to be very expensive purchasing it (fees), unless you have bitcoin already and can transfer it to those wallets I can’t really see how it makes sense to just keep transferring btc from one wallet to another… so not that im lost on the topic I just can’t see paying all the extra fees for transfers or the straight up buy option on mycelium (which I played around with and put in that I wanted $200 in btc and the fee was $20). Kinda the same thing with airbitz… and a lot of personal information needs to be put in) so unfortunately I can’t help give you any advice cuz I guess im stumped to!

@josh, thanks for the update brother. That’s exactly why I’m so hesitant to get into bitcoin. Purchasing fees and transaction fees don’t seem very appealing. I hope we’re both wrong and there’s an easier way. Until then it’s WU and other forms I suppose.
I’ll let you know if I find a cheaper, friendlier alternative.

Please do… again I just feel other than it being expensive there is just way too much personal information that goes into this whole process
