Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Democratic congresswoman who represents Minneapolis, said she thought the Minneapolis community felt safe last night knowing that their businesses and homes would not be burned in protests because of the National Guard presence.
 
I never agree with military force used against its own citizenry, ever.

There was a good video of a news organization interviewing two guys, that simply armed themselves and went to protect family owned businesses.

I do, but to walk the streets armed, not its purpose.

You also realize in the past it was used to put down peaceful protests that people of color mobilized. I don’t blame them for distrusting it’s presence.

Maybe during the revolution people should have peacefully protested England just leave us alone, I bet that would have had the same effect.

The police have been overly militarized for many decades now. The laws have been butchered to allow them to trample your rights over and over.

Neither was George Floyd. That’s the problem people think it won’t happen to them if they don’t break the law, that isn’t the case.

How about that Australian woman who called 911 and was shot, or the guy who had a permit to carry in Minnesota and was shot for no reason.

Or the guy in that hotel who had an airsoft rifle for work, watch that video of him trying to follow police direction in the hotel hallway before being gunned down.
 
You know. A white woman was shot and killed by a black officer in the same part of Minneapolis. Do you remember that? No you don’t because nothing was burned down. My beef is once you start burning and looting, you are no better than the asshole that started this. I say let it burn. All of it turn it into Ferguson Mo. And stop calling the rioters protesters. They could give 2 shits about Floyd. I agree there is a problem. But burning local businesses and livelihood to the ground does what? Nothing.

So that’s not a good argument since I specifically mentioned it earlier.

Do I agree with looting and destroying businesses? No, do I see why a very few would think it’s the only way to be heard, yes.

Do I think it’s specially a minority issue? Not at all, it’s a systemic issue. Read what I wrote before attacking me.

This whole case looks like a setup. Wasn’t random as they said.

First video released only showed two cops. And the people there only mention those two cops. Not until the second vid from someone random did it see two more kneeling on the guy. With ems not knowing shit to do. Did everything wrong like they weren’t even EMs.


Third vid from surveillance showed it all different story. And 3-4 cops in an unmarked vehicle that the driver never got out. Just moved the vehicle.

The neighbors didn’t know this guy was a cop. Thought he was a realtor like the wife. Never seen him in uniform.


But he worked “In uniform” for 17 years as a bouncer and worked with Floyd recently for a while? They knew each other.

Now to top it off the Mayor is radical left. Governor the same. District attorney was just back from rehab and doesn’t charge police. State AG is an Antifa supporter. Radical left that’s openly funded by Soros.
