A day in the life of me

Success!

I love sushi too man. I used to try to Smash like 10 rolls down at a time lol. Living in the country now doesn’t make getting sushi easy though

I had 30 last night. And was still hungry.

Honestly I’d say it’s preference and reason. I like my chucks because I can feel the floor and that “tripod” on my feet is easier to feel if I screw up if that makes sense. The actual lifting shoes I like because it’s a hard sole with a slight lift in the heel which reminds me to sit and plant. It’s more difficult for me to get that feel in regular tennis shoes or running shoes. I’m a freak about form so the shoes definitely help in that aspect. But are they necessary? No

They helped me a lot for heavy squat days, the raised heel allowed greater range of motion for squatting deeper. Also kept me sitting upright throughout the movement, my squats used to suck until I invested in some when I was lifting with powerlifters and it forced me to get better at squatting overall so I love them. Now thanks to them, my squat is one my favorite lifts with or without the shoes.

I forgot to post yesterday’s workout and I’m feeling lazy so not going to the basement to get it either lol no workout today

But! I coached the wife through her workout today and she had 4 new PRs today. Holy shit was she gettin it. She had bad sciatica about 4 months ago that set her back. She started back with John Meadows Omega Sentinel program then I moved her to a bulking nutrition plan and I wrote a plan for her to do more compound lifts to re-strengthen. So the good stuff. Keep in mind she’s pretty petite at 125lb. She hit 65lb on flat bench, 145lb on squats, 115lb on deadlift and 50lb on barbell curls. Really proud of her to keep pushing herself

Thanks bro. She’s still really apprehensive to push herself sometimes but she sees a chiropractor regularly now and hasn’t had an issue with her sciatica since she’s been going so I have to reassure her that she’s gonna be fine. With me spotting she doesn’t fear the heavier weights either.

Go team Berserker, I can’t get my woman to lift with me, she will hike, fish and she even bow hunts with me on the occasion but will not workout

The wife was told the same most women are told their whole lives. Low calories, light or no weights, cardio as often as you can bullshit. She was almost always around 110lb except when she was pregnant. Then she would cut all the way back down. It wasn’t until probably 2 years ago that I was able to get her to start actually lifting weight and even then she did so much cardio and ate so little that she was only around 115. Last year I convinced her to run a cycle of Var and really start pushing weight and start eating more. She jumped to almost 130 gaining 15lbs that year. Now she loves lifting with me and even most days lifts on her own. She’s on a bulk right now eating 2400 calories
