I’ve never left the gym once I got there. Never had a panic attack or worried about anythin
Another quote that sums it up perfectly. Everything else becomes irrelevant in the gym. I just feel like myself more there than anywhere else, and best when I am alone. Amazing how similar we all tend to feel about this.

Guys. A recommendation… go ahead and invest in a tailored white shirt for your “suit occasions” As you can see here my top button was undone.

It took 2 groomsmen to buttonit for the ceremony and I was dying.

We’ve got all girls and our oldest had a boy. He is one of 2 boys in the family. My wife’s older sister has 2 girls, her twin has 2 girls and the only other boy, and her younger sister had a girl. I blame all the girls on her family!

Same here. I need an 18.5" neck to fit comfortably, and any shirt with that large a neck swallows me whole around the waist. I generally try to cram myself into an 18 and buy “slim fit” shirts. That’s a good compromise. But tailoring is the best.

This is what we end up doing everything for! Eventually, 95% feel that unless you never have kids or stuff like that and I get that too, believe me! But, even looking good at the occasions and just being in the moment…awesome. Everyone should know that one in million a off the rack anything will fit. I have to order sweat pant because they all are “jogger” style , skinny and tapered at the ankle. Yuck. Thanks for sharing that with us.

I’ll tell you what, and I’m sure most of you have or will notice this. These last two years was maybe a blessing as far as using supplements went way down, injury and covid opened my eyes. When I’m my normal bodybuilder look especially leaner with my face prominent jaw, and vascular. I get more respect from 98% of people, co workers, the physical is the first thing they see. I don’t look or act 50, but I’m not a Buster and wear tight shirts, I’m in scrubs usually. I’m definitely not a bully, folks just are cooler. Some of the opposite sex sometimes will be stand off-ish for different reasons. What I’m saying is over the years my physical has helped with relationships with people in the beginning. Which has helped my metal state. I’m more of a loner, especially in the Temple of Iron. It’s like over the years people will bring me out of the shell and it will start with even " you do bodybuilding, go to the gym but how do you get all the veins and stuff? " and from there I find out this person is a awesome artist and does tattoos. Or is a mechanic. Etc.

Absolutely, and I’m similar. For various reasons, the first reaction I have when meeting someone is that of suspicion–for no good reason, it’s just the way I am. But reactions to my physique change my frame of mind to a more solicitous one, so it helps me be normal (at least, a little more so!).

Hahaha. I have noticed a big difference in how people treat me. Lady’s usually smile more and even give me the “where have I seen you before thing “. Some even roll their eyes when my wife talks which actually pisses me off!!! Guys either evens or superiors warm up to me quickly. But all that is opposite in the gym and at the bar or even bar/grill. Then I get challenged or picked on by the smallest dudes even. Lol.

Its 100% when people meet you, IMO. Even at work, there was a time where the scrubs were tight no matter what. I had to get the women top because there’s more room in the breast area/chest area. Do you think any male nurses and 95/100 female nurses ever left work for me, yelled at me, any of that shit. The last 2 years after this injury, I definitely looked way more normal and guess what…Im lucky I’m (I think) articulate at work and good at my career but now I get way more challenges and also stories of how this nurse is training BJJ and wrestled in college, at such and such big name school. I should roll around with them…I wrestled JUCO at a great school at the time, but dudes I have an OG limp, I’m gonna roll around so I can get crippled. ask me 10-12 years even ago. its just funny. Plus, boy I never knew how good I really felt training again and its still pretty slow and easy. Yes, I have had the 6 foot 4 lanky bastards want to start up with me years ago, I hate crowds, if it was an open space, I was more nervous because of the reach, but really I found 98% of the time if someones a dick and calls you out then they probably have no cardio, no skills, might be still a tough dude but usually just walk away. sticks and stones…but when they start on your Girl or something…

Mostly it happens with guys in their twenties that have beer muscles. Thank God no one has ever messed with my girl other then hitting on her and offering to but her drinks. Then I just come along and say I’ll take one also lmao.

I was always getting into it over my girls or like when wed all be out and some dick starts it with my buddies id finish it
