Caught an Injury category is exactly what it says if you have an injury and want to discuss the situation this is the spot to post.
We have great members such as @Kad1 that are going to take lead in this category but also everyone will get involved. Everyone knows everyone is here to help. @UGMain I look forward to populating this category. Also if you catch an Injury we would love to have you keep a log for members to read in the future so god forbid something happens to them they can read what to expect.

Thanks to @Kad1 and the entire community for this idea ugmuscle is always open to listening to the members. We can’t promise something will always happen but if it can we will try our best to get it going.

The category is now open

Hello all,
Let me first say thank you for opening this topic.
I’m about to have surgery on my left shoulder. I have a complete tear of the rotator cuff tendon. I started lifting heavy again and everything felt good until I heard a squish and then came severe pain.
Any recommendations for a fast recovery? Thanks in advance.

@Bigs , I had two surgeries in 12 months time on my right rotator back in my early 20’s… I’m not sure how much things have changed since then, but both my surgeries were open shoulder. The biggest thing that helped me, more the second time around than the first, was being very diligent about working my ROM while still allowing the joint to heal properly. Wall walks and minor stretching were my best friends for about 6 weeks

What tendon was to Torn? Ask the doc if they can give you a PRP injection during surgery. That shot really helps with recovery. Also I’d consider GH for recovery. Right out of surgery get into PT don’t wait. The quicker you get the RAnge of motion back the better. It’s going to be very painful but gotta doit. Once surgery is done listen to the PT for the first couple months then we can get into more functional PT. Need to let screws set up

I am 2 months out of rotator cuff and labrum surgery and my physical therapist is in awe of my recovery thus far. Mainly because there has been no atrophy in my muscles.
My supplement program has been
150 ius of test cyp weekly
3 ius of hgh daily
npp150 25 ius daily,
Anavar daily,
2 ius of BPC157 daily
3 ius of tb500 3 times a week.
Like JB said the working on ROM from the jump is super important. I have been pretty vigilant about doing my PT and getting all my ROM back.
I have a 2 month surgery follow up this week. I am hoping that I can start using weights greater than 2 and 5 pounds.
